BKFC wants to sign Nate Diaz

Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is actively pursuing the possibility of signing both Nate Diaz and Eddie Alvarez, two of the most prominent names in free agency across all combat sports.

The high-profile free agents were pursued by the bare-knuckle promotion in the past, and now BKFC President Dave Feldman thinks his company might finally give someone like Diaz the kind of money and chance he desires after leaving the UFC. Although Jake Paul has frequently been mentioned as a potential opponent for Diaz in a boxing battle, Feldman believes that BKFC may provide Diaz an even better alternative with a greater financial outcome.

“The money’s on the table for him,” Feldman said about Diaz when speaking to MMA Fighting. “It’s just a matter now of does he want to fight bare knuckle? That’s all it really is. I’m confident he can make more money with us than he can anywhere else, even fighting Jake Paul.

“He could get more on Jake Paul but I think people are getting tired of — not Jake Paul but Jake Paul fighting someone he’s supposed to beat. Nate is someone I’d love to get. It’s someone that I think if he could crossover to this he would bring a lot of MMA fans into this organization and I think it would be great acquisition.”

Feldman claims that he plans to speak with Diaz's management group in the coming days to go over possibilities and make a formal offer to hire Diaz for BKFC.

Diaz is now free to sign with any organisation after the UFC concluded their deal with the former title challenger, officially ending their association that began in 2007.
