Boxing fans have been treated to yet another incredible fight just in the space of two weeks. Following Tyson Fury’s dominant victory over Dillian Whyte last week, it was Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano who undisputedly put women’s boxing fully and in front on the map last Saturday in New York, in a fight that could be described as fireworks.

Though it was Taylor who ended up taking home the win on a split decision, the fight was dubbed and seen by may as the most exciting of the century so far, perhaps ever, and probably deserved two winners. Blows were dealt both ways across all 10 rounds and the momentum continued to swing back and forth. However, it was is the Irish born Taylor who clinched victory against her Puerto Rican opponent Serrano in a bruising competition.

Taylor said: "I think we are both winners here tonight - look at what we have both done - sold out Madison Square Garden. The biggest fight in female boxing history and both of us have broken so many barriers over our whole careers."

For those who missed the fight, Warrior Code highly recommends taking a moment to re-watch the spectacle.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who represents other champions such as Anthony Joshua, referred to the match up as one of the greatest fights in the history of Madison Square Garden.

There is already talk of a rematch being in the making, which would most likely happen in Ireland towards the end of the year. Stay tuned.
