What do you guys think of the matchmaking of glory 100🙄, I think it is CANCELLED. I already had a feeling a surprise was coming to protect Ricardo but this? No I didn't expect this. Why not a top footballer? Cristiano maybe or Messi?
I suspect Marcel has plans to bring a "Last welterweight standing" to America.
He said in an interview that they were "looking at a welterweight tournament for a different market" and they are now putting kwasi vs. Tyjani on the map at Betr and they have put an American welterweight on the map. I think they are planting seeds with this to get this going.
In itself not very crazy considering America is a little less fixated on heavyweights, if you look at UFC for example. But the WW division is much too Dutch now.
If they make a stripped down version of that like with the last featherweight standing in Japan then I'm for it!

The issue surrounding Glory matchmaking lies in the following. Glory often matches based on fighters' preferences. UFC matches purely on the basis of " what does it pay for."
RVH vs. AV= preferred fighters
RVH vs. JBS =money fight
CmG vs KN= money fight
And so I could go on and on.
I think Robbie is also toe-curling at his desk sometimes. Because I sincerely cannot imagine him agreeing 100% with certain fights/choices.
But until the top within Glory sees/can't apply this, Glory will never reach the level of the UFC.#apennyformythoughts

What political games are being played that Bahram is entering the tournament where he simply has no business fighting Tarik?
Tarik with his entourage and Bahram with his entourage would be fireworks, right?
Or do they themselves not want to fight each other? Glory is really missing opportunities / storylines. See Rico vs lightweight who hasn't kickboxed in ages. Who are they kidding?

Think he entered the tournament before it was even known that this would be an opportunity at all, so he was simply busy 😬.
By itself, I think the match up between Tarik vs. Maslobojev is the only correct one you can make... Maslobojev's title was unjustly taken away against Donegi and after it had no fair retake.
While Bahram with all due respect, what big name did he beat? Against Donegi went ice cold KO. Against Maskoyev is just no win, with those headbutts and illegal strikes....
Bahram should do One rematch against Donegi or Masloboev, win this one once. Then you can possibly talk about a deserved title fight against Tarik.

But to sell an event sometimes you have to make other choices and then this match up would be very, where audience is treated to something. Think of that match of Spong vs. Saki.
Masloboev is a legit fighter but does he grab the general public?
Bahram lost to Abena in a tournament. Surely I see that differently than a single game. See last game of Tarik and Abena.
The matchmaking of glory is not so bad, the matchmaking for Verhoeven is dramatic that man will get Jan kaffa next time
