The advantage of those tournaments is that you now filter out those boring matches that you normally throw in the prelims. We have seen too many nonsensical matches in recent years from Khachab, filipovic, Kepenek, Bladiwicz, Laidouni etc.

Now you also immediately see because there is a tournament going on that even a horta and Laidouni suddenly want and can score ko's.

For the heavyweights who are already out, it is going to be difficult to get another shot this year because there is simply no more room. I think that of the heavyweights who lost an Opacic and Krnjic will get another chance. For Khachab, Kepenek, Adegbuyi, Aygun, Primachov it will be tough.

I do remember Badr sitting at a press conference. I think that influencer Nesiem (from Supergaande and then worked for Videoland) wanted to ask a few questions. He started with: how do you feel? And, are you ready? Badr then later said that "journalists ask stupid questions. And he was actually referring to Nesiem.

I can somewhat agree. Maybe the tactic at Videoland was also totally wrong to give influencers without sports knowledge a microphone and then let them ask questions. Purely because an influencer has a certain reach. In doing so, the underlying reason is just not correct.

A sports journalist with knowledge and possibly experience is supposed to ask the questions if they want to be taken seriously. But you see it more and more often that influencer get a position because of his/her reach. Boxing Influencers was also a good example of this. Kaj Gorgels and Monica Geuze doing the presentation. In which Geuze was totally busy with herself and content was very poor.
