Budo Association On Ko Chi Shin is a club for practicing Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo with dojos in Arnhem and Nijmegen. Young at heart, but with decades of experience! Budo is the collective term for Japanese martial arts. Our martial arts stem from the samurai tradition and are: Kendo – Budo Association On Ko Chi Shin Kendo is a competitive form of Japanese sword fighting. It is the Japanese counterpart to Western fencing. Iaido – Budo Association On Ko Chi Shin Iaido is the classical Japanese swordsmanship of the samurai, where an actual Japanese sword (katana) is used. Jodo – Budo Association On Ko Chi Shin Jodo is a Japanese form of staff fighting, aimed at disarming a swordsman.
