Athlete Club is the gym of Veendam when it comes to fitness and martial arts. With us you get martial arts training from Dutch champions and fitness training from certified trainers. We also give martial arts training to children and we offer various group lessons, such as group fitness, HIIT and punching bag training. Do you prefer one-on-one guidance? At Ashido Karate Veendam we teach Kyokushin Karate. This is a full-contact karate style. Besides the kicking and punching which characterizes Kuyokushin Karate, much attention is paid to jiu-jitsu and self-defense.

Fight Academy Groningen heeft maar één doel: vechtsport toegankelijk maken voor íedereen! Om dat doel te behalen bieden zij lessen aan op maat en hebben zij voor iedereen een geschikte training, voornamelijk gericht op kickboksen en Muay Thai. Met meer dan 15 jaar ervaring in het kickboksen en een achtergrond als ex-militair én sociaal werker, zorgt Sirano dat de lat iedere dag iets hoger komt te liggen.

Dave Jonkers was born in 1955 in the Netherlands and his profession is gym owner and sports teacher. He started at a young age with Judo and Kyokushin Karate in the city of Groningen. Dave Jonkers took several sports courses including CIOS, MO pedagogy and several nationally recognized sports specific courses including fencing instructor, strength sports and martial arts. Besides martial arts, Dave has extensive experience in coaching youth and youth problems. He started his gym at the age of 20 and from 1988 he and David Cook developed the karate style Ashihara International, a departure from Japanese Ashihara Karate. In the 1990s, with Jon Bluming and others, the International BudoKai was founded, making a name and reputation worldwide. In his role as a martial arts coach, Dave has produced many world-level champions in Karate, Kickboxing and MMA. And he is still active in coaching martial arts practitioners.

Boxing Stad Groningen is een gemengde boksclub waar plezier in het sporten, een positieve sfeer en respectvol met elkaar omgaan bovenaan staan. Boxing Stad Groningen staat onder leiding van voormalig Nederlands Kampioen Quirijn Kroese.

The Fight Game Academy is an approachable, friendly gym in Zuidlaren.
