Just a quick note about the sound and "old news" in this episode, which was recorded over two weeks ago. Unfortunately, it only became clear afterwards that the sound was not recorded properly. We still wanted to share the content of this interview with Tyjani with you, so with the help of audio professionals we cleaned up the sound as best we could. This took quite some time, so the episode could only be online yesterday.
As for the sound in other episodes, this varies and is mainly due to the software/editing, not the quality of the wired microphones themselves that we use at Op De Bank. We have made strides in this, which you can hear for example in the episode with Luis Tavares.

Hi Splinta, good question! Publishing on the website, YouTube and Spotify is now all done separately and sometimes by different people, so there can sometimes be more time in between than desired. We are looking at a new podcast distribution platform, where we can also make ODB available right away in Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music/Audible, Deezer, etc. The expectation is that we can then also get everything ready nicely in time.

What amazes me is that fighters are only now seeking a stage to express dissatisfaction.
Glory has a nice stable of fighters. However, 75% are just not good with giving themselves a stage. And I don't mean a picture on insta but really making stories. Sharing your story in podcasts. Staying visible.
We see a Mo Amine doing this well. Is visible a lot. Don Sno has looked well at Verhoeven, among others, and is also creating a stage separately from parties for possible collaborations.
That one little interview with Dennis Kornman right before a fight is just not enough. In addition, as a fighter, you have to try to get more out of it. There are plenty of companies that want to do promotions through social media. A fighter should see himself as a brand and apart from fighting also try to generate collaborations and income from side-things.
Many of these fighters never finished school and expect others to do that of them. Hard work for them means that they spend many hours in the gym, all the other things around that "is not their job." Then once there is no match for a long time they suddenly have no idea what to do.
Remy has often been right. Grab your stage if you have the opportunity. Their biggest example has to be Verhoeven. Who spent pre-social media time even using a media agency to ensure more visibility.
These days I also don't understand fighters having a manager.
That manager doesn't mean much to you if barely have parties/other side hustles.
They can answer that phone call with Glory themselves. Or the arrangements around it. That's not rocketscience.
