Thai Kickboxing or "The Art of 8 Limbs" is the national sport of Thailand and the most used striking system in modern MMA. VQMT is proud to be Maine's home for authentic Muay Thai. What to expect: You'll learn punches, kicks, knees & elbows in a fun, high intensity class. This will be 60 minutes of pad-work, hitting heavy bags, calisthenics and partner drills. "The Sweet Science" from beginners to pro-fighters this class is sure to satisfy. Traditional boxing is a great way to work on cardio, balance and movement. Not only will you be getting fit but you'll also learn to be a skillful & knowledgeable boxer. razilian Jiu Jitsu focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via jointlocks and strangleholds. What to expect: You’ll learn body mechanics, positional control, and finishing holds with a partner over a 60 minute class, followed by live drilling and sparring in a controlled environment.
