The Saitama Super Arena will host Takeru vs. Rodtang as part of the ONE Championship.

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated during the ONE Fight Night 10 press conference that ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and multi-time K-1 world champion Takeru Segawa could meet in a historic match in Japan.

"That is probably the biggest kickboxing fight in maybe a few decades. Obviously, Tenshin and Takeru was a big fight, but I think Takeru and Rodtang is literally going to be the biggest fight in decades for kickboxing," and "it will blow up the whole world".

On the fight location, Chatri said, "100% we are going to Japan with it, 100% it will a massive sell-out. Maybe we will do Saitama, 20,000 seats something like that".

One of his generation's best kickboxers, Segawa, just agreed to an exclusive contract with ONE Championship.

Rodtang has held the title since 2019 and is 13-0 in ONE Championship Muay Thai and kickboxing contests.

According to Sityodtong, a match between Segawa and Rodtang in 2022 would easily surpass Segawa's match with another Japanese great Tenshin Nasukawa.
