understandable that you can't discuss everything but then would leave out those unnecessary comments for what it is and bring in those sharp comments and discuss them.

That bit about parents and wearing rose-colored glasses. I sometimes get the idea that kids have to live the dream of their parents. They think their son/daughter can become that new kickboxing star.

I saw a youth kickboxing match the other day, but that was just pathetic to watch. That boy was 9 years +/- and I didn't feel like he wanted to be in the ring. His father was just screaming what not to do especially and the boy then left the ring crying....

How do you handle this kind of situation as a trainer?
